So this debate came about from my chatting up one of the members of the SGA senate. I introduced myself to Zach Rossetti the week before the debate and asked him what he did. He talked about working for MUTV and a few others things.
Later that night he facebooked me with the idea of hosting a debate in the MUTV studios. He said, "Most of the time people base their vote as more of a popularity contest, so if we record this and put it onto the web and get more and more students to see what is talked about, such as the goals each of you have for the organization to move forward/ communicate with the student bodies it would give each of you a fair shot."
I was sold. I was talking with a few others about having a debate. I love the idea of having it recorded, posting it online (MUTV's facebook page), and on channel 13 for any student to watch. Hopefully, I'll get a copy and post some of the video here on my website.
